Moritz Post
Moritz Post is a postdoctoral research fellow in NoJoke and working on the subproject “Questioning Seriousness”. He received his doctorate in 2021 with a thesis on the “New Frankfurt School” at the Institute of Linguistics and Literature at the Technical University Darmstadt, focusing on the theory of literature and comedy. The core of his research to date has been the description of comedy as a seismograph for discovering and describing socio-cultural events and conditions in the society of the Federal Republic of Germany. Previous he studied German studies, philosophy and political science.
Parallel to NoJoke Moritz works as a journalist and columnist for the German daily newspaper “Frankfurter Rundschau” and is member of the editorial staff of the satire-magazine “TITANIC”, which is based in Frankfurt. Before that, he worked for many years as a research assistant for a satirical party in the municipal parliament of the city of Frankfurt.
